Simian Mobile Disco are cementing the launch of their brand new, techno loaded ‘Unpatterns’ album with an extended Room One set – a spectacle that honestly, has been a long time coming. The duo are joined by Objekt: a producer whose recent release on Hessle Audio has everybody paying due attention, Blondes: an act whose live take on techno has the press all a flutter and Kill Em All resident, Daniel Avery. We caught up with SMD a while back to better frame an exclusive download of their set from the 2011 ATP Festival. It’s all archived over on the blog.
Bristol bastion of bass heavy music, Tectonic, make the trip up the M4 once again to takeover Room Two and this one celebrates the release of Atlantan producer Distal’s debut album ‘Civilization’. Hyperdub boss Kode9 is guest of honour joining Tectonic boss Pinch, Distal, Youngsta, Tunnidge and newcomer Beneath on a heavyweight lineup. We helped shed some light on Beneath’s soundtrack influences and are hosting the chance to win Distal’s album and tickets to the show over on the blog.
Sonic Router are taking over the top space for the second time, curating a lineup that holds no less than five fabric debuts. Canadian producer XI is set to make his London debut alongside South London’s best kept secret, West Norwood Cassette Library. PMR’s sexified beatmaker Two Inch Punch, joins London’s most uncompromising house producer, Altered Natives and newcomer Wattville close out the lineup. You can catch streams of the three headliners latest work over at Sonic Router and download the latest mix in their series: #130 by Altered Natives in preparation for Friday. |

No stranger to the extended hours of clubbing, Berlin’s Margaret Dygas returns to the Room One booth showcasing her illustrious back catalogue of inspiring house and techno. With a self-titled album released at the end of last year on Perlon, we’re looking forward to more of the same from Margaret this year. Joining her and 20 years into his career, we’re proud to welcome back Detroit deep house underground stalwart, Delano Smith. Playing alongside the likes of Norm Talley and Brawther, Delano’s releases are housed by Third Ear, Mixmode and Sushitech - where he dropped his benchmark new album, ‘An Odyssey’ in February. Topping the bill is our resident Craig Richards and Dutch techno talent, San Proper who has an upcoming album on Rush Hour - which features two reworks by Ricardo Villalobos. Keep an eye on the blog for competition news on San Proper’s ‘Animal’ LP.
The duo of Rebolledo and Superpitcher, aka Pachanga Boys make their Room Two debut following the onslaught of their Hippie Dance 12', ‘Girlcatcher’ on Kompakt earlier this year. They’re joined by Huntley & Palmers’ Auntie Flo and Terry Francis but ahead of the night you can learn a little more about Pachanga over on our blog.
In Room Three LOST Presents SPACEBASE leads the night with Juan Atkins, Steve Bicknell and Toru. Bringing back the warehouse party vibe of the early 90’s in the UK, their smaller party arm comes with a cosmic edge and has enthralled crowds and guests such as Andrew Weatherall. |
